DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — Police are looking for two male suspects on the run after a shots-fired call led to a chase.

At around 8:50 p.m., Dothan Police received a call reporting gunshots on Arlington Avenue and an officer near the area quickly arrived, and once on the scene, heard about 20 to 30 more shots close to Woodland Drive.

Police say they were given a description of a car allegedly involved, a red Nissan Altima, and when officers in the area attempted to perform a traffic stop on a vehicle that matched that description, the vehicle quickly sped away, and a chase ensued that went down Dusy Street to Franklin Street, continued North on Oates Street, and ended on Ussery Street when the occupants of the vehicle got out and ran.

According to Dothan Police, when the car was searched, officers found three semi-automatic pistols and an AR pistol.

DPD set up a perimeter in the area for a search and a Houston County Sheriff Tracking K9 was brought in.
