GENEVA, Ala (WDHN)— After an investigation into a Wednesday Geneva robbery, two suspects were arrested and one is still at large, according to the Geneva Police Department.
On Wednesday, October 16, Geneva Police responded to an armed robbery in the 300 Block of East Promenade Avenue
According to GPD, when officers arrived, two victims reported that two males entered the residence, robbed them at gunpoint, and fired a single gunshot into the furniture after one victim attempted to grab the gun. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene. Statements made by the victims led officers to believe that they were deliberately targeted by the suspects and that it was not a random occurrence.
Throughout the week investigators and officers with the Geneva Police Department worked the case to try and find those responsible and make appropriate arrests.
After the investigation, two search warrants were executed on Friday, October 21 in the 700 block of Bryant Street and the 500 block of Sizemore Highway. Two arrests were made, per a GPD press release.
