DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — Two Dothan men have been arrested after police say they tried to sell stolen property from a burglary that occurred almost a year ago.
In March 2022, Dothan police began investigating a burglary where specific and identifiable items were stolen. Police say the items recently appeared on social media for sale by an individual.
According to Dothan police, on Wednesday, February 15, DPD criminal investigators executed a search warrant at the home of the seller in the 300 block of Chapelwood Drive. During the search, investigators found two stolen items from the March burglary and illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia.
Police say that at the time of the search, two adults and a person under the age of 18, who had been provided illegal narcotics by one of the adults, were present.
As a result of the investigation, 21-year-old Jalen Fransis McDonald was arrested and charged with one count of Furnishing a Controlled Substance to a Minor, one count of Receiving Stolen Property in the First Degree, one count of Possession of Marijuana in the Second Degree, and one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He has a set bond of $47,000.00.
19-year-old Cameron Michael Bishop was arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Property Second Degree, one count of Possession of Marijuana Second Degree, and one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He has a set bond of $12,000.00.
The 18-year-old has not been identified.
