HENRY COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) — The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is currently attempting to locate at least two unidentified persons of interest connected to a nighttime drive-by shooting.

According to Sheriff Eric Blankenship, the shooting occurred at around 9:00 p.m. on County Road 46 and both victims, an unidentified adult and an 11-year-old girl, are in stable condition as of Wednesday morning and one has been released from the hospital.

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is conducting the investigation alongside the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency and the Barbour County Sheriff’s Office to rule out any connection with a Clayton drive-by shooting that occurred around the same time Tuesday night. The investigation into the Clayton shooting has been turned over to the State Bureau of Investigation.

Sheriff Blankenship says they have not found a connection between the two shootings but they are looking at every piece of evidence.

Sheriff Blankenship asks that anyone with information regarding the shooting please come forward. You can contact the HCSO at (334) 677-4882.
