DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — A 29-year-old Dothan woman was arrested after police say she bit an officer while being taken into custody.
On Wednesday, February 22, officers responded to the 800 block of Whiddon Street for an intoxicated and disorderly person.
According to Dothan Police, when officers made contact with the suspect, Latedrus Rhodes, they attempted to make her leave the property at the request of the property owner, but Rhodes refused.
Police say that when officers told Rhodes she was being arrested and began taking her into custody, Rhodes began to resist and fight with officers during which time she bit an officer on the arm causing minimal injury.
Rhodes was arrested and charged with one count of Assault Second Degree. Her bond was set at $15,000.
