DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — A woman has been arrested after police say she attempted to crash her vehicle into her boyfriend’s vehicle on Saturday.

According to Dothan police, Candace Ann Smith intentionally engaged in a road rage incident that she initiated in Blakely, Georgia, that went into Dothan, Alabama.

Smith attempted multiple times to stop the victim’s vehicle. Smith and the victim had previously been involved in a relationship, but she was reluctant to accept the fact it had ended, according to police.

Once in the 1400 block of Ross Clark Circle, police say, Smith intentionally rammed the victim’s vehicle while traveling on the roadway.

The victim’s vehicle then lost control and left the roadway, receiving moderate damage.

Neither Smith nor the male victim was injured during the incident.

Smith was charged with two counts of first-degree attempted assault released from the Houston County Jail Saturday night on a $30,000 bond.
