HOUSTON COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) — A woman has been indicted after court records say she used a gun to steal a truck in 2021.

Ashely Marie Hop, 37, was charged with first-degree robbery in July 2021, according to the HCSO. The indictment states that Hop stole a Ford F-350 with a handgun by force.

Hop was serving time in Florida for unrelated charges. She has since been moved to the Houston County Jail to deal with her case in the Wiregrass. If she is found guilty, she will be put on hold with the Alabama Department of Corrections.

Hop has been in a Florida prison since November 29, 2021.
