Domestic dispute call in Ozark leads to attempt to commit murder

OZARK, Ala. (WDHN) — An Ozark man has been arrested and charged with numerous crimes including attempted murder against his ex-girlfriend, according to authorities.

Police responded to a call concerning a domestic disturbance incident that occurred off Martin Luther King Avenue on Sunday afternoon involving Alex Miller, 27, and his ex-girlfriend.

Ozark Police Chief Marlos Walker said when authorities arrived at the home, Miller’s ex-girlfriend informed them that Miller fired gunshots in her direction, and was no longer on scene.

Miller was apprehended at a traffic stop nearby and charged with attempt to commit murder,
reckless endangerment x2, altering firearm identification or possession of altered firearm.

Miller is currently being held in the Dale County Jail with no bond.
