A 20-year-old Dothan man is behind bars for allegedly breaking into several businesses and robbing someone.

Brandon Lashun Pearson has been charged with seven counts of third-degree burglary and one count of first-degree robbery.

According to the Dothan Police Department, Pearson was arrested on July 17 after patrol officers recognized him as a suspect wanted in connection to a string of burglaries.

The burglaries occurred between June 18 and July 17 at businesses where the front glass doors were busted.

The stores Pearson allegedly burglarized are Dollar General and Hop-In on Cottonwood Road, Italian Express and People Ready on Ross Clark Circle, Styles Unlimited Barber Shop on South Oates Street, the Wiregrass Recreation Center on Sixth Avenue and the Family Dollar on Palm Jean Road.

The robbery charge, according to police, stems from an incident where Pearson allegedly robbed someone on the 300 block of Fifth Avenue. No other details of the robbery have been released at this time.

Pearson was booked into the Dothan City Jail on bonds totaling $161,000.
