DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The Dothan Rotary Club allocated $15,000 to six non-profit service organizations in the community.

Each year, the Rotary Club distributes money accumulated from fundraisers and donations. At its most recent meeting, portions of that money were given to the Wiregrass Hope Group, the Alfred Saliba Center, Time Youth, The Angel House, and more.

Raleigh Price, who is now the past president, said it feels good to lend a helping hand to these organizations that do a tremendous amount of good in the Dothan community.

“It’s great to hear the things they are going to be able to take this money and do some of them like putting in a new air conditioner in a room that hasn’t had air in the last two months, and they are trying to serve families in need in the area others can take the money along with the grant money they get nationally and do other projects,” Price said.

Price said Rotary hopes to provide more funds for organizations next year.
