ELBA, Ala (WDHN)— An Elba attorney has agreed to plead guilty after being accused of committing voter fraud in 2020.

Alyse Fowler, 35, of Opp, has signed a plea agreement stating that no other voter fraud charges will be brought against her. She will plead guilty on November 8, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. at the Dale County Courthouse in Ozark.

Before agreeing to plead guilty, Fowler’s trial date was set for October 24.

According to court documents filed on Friday, October 14, Folwer is still a practicing attorney.

Fowler was accused of providing false voter information in the Elba Municipal Election in August of 2020.

The case is being prosecuted by the Alabama Attorney General’s Office, with District Judge Stuart K. Smith presiding.
