ELBA, Ala. (WDHN)—The Elba Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a “job fair” Thursday afternoon.

It’s executive director, Sandy Bynum-Williams, says she has two-dozen businesses “signed up” to take part in a three-hour event.

It’ll take place from two to five o’clock Thursday afternoon at the Elba Downtown Square Theater.

Williams says there are jobs are out there, it’s just a question of getting folks to apply and accept the positions.

As Williams says job applicants can bring a resume, but it’s not required.

Several company representatives say they plan to “hire” workers on the spot.
