ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — On Wednesday night, a 28-year-old man was charged with the murder of an Enterprise teen. Coffee County Coroner Robert Preacher has identified the deceased as 15-year-old Myquell Smith.
Smith was one of several people in the vehicle parked in front of this home on Thompson Street in Enterprise.
Smith had been fatally shot a short time earlier in what one of the victim’s friends described as a running gun battle between two vehicles that started around the Boll Weevil Monument on Main Street.
Justin McClendon was a classmate and a teammate on the Enterprise High School football team.
Shortly after the shooting, Enterprise police announced Deandre Flowers had been arrested in the fatal shooting. On Thursday night, the 28-year-old was booked into the Coffee County Jail on a charge of murder.
Bond has not been set in this case.
A relative of the victim did not wish to be identified but tells us, young people, these days are quick withdrawing guns.
