ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — Back around the start of October, a body was found on private property off of County Road 156 in Enterprise.
No update on the status of the investigation or the identity of the body has been made.
All we have is what we learned back in October from Enterprise Police.
“The body was in a state of decomposition where we could not positively identify it at this time,” Enterprise Police Lieutenant Billy Haglund said at the time.
It usually takes 6 to 8 weeks to identify a body, but it has been almost two months without an identity. We asked Enterprise police in October how long it would take.
“I don’t know, I don’t know specifically how long it will take,” Haglund said. “It’s different every time.”
With little information on the investigation, people are curious about what happened to the person who was found. Some may suspect foul play; however, one Enterprise citizen previously told me he didn’t think there was any.
“Not a real big history of it,” Enterprise resident Zack Sullivant said. “You know I wouldn’t necessarily rule anything out this early, especially not knowing any of the details, but I wouldn’t. It wouldn’t be my first thought no.”
