Hangar 38 offers discounts to those displaced by Hurricane Ida

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Hangar 38 is a restaurant and sports bar that features arcade games, claw machines a bowling alley, and plenty of food and drinks for everyone.

Because Hurricane Ida caused so many people to seek refuge here in the wiregrass, Hangar 38 is offering discounts in order to give people a place to relax.

“Why not get out to the local hotels, and get out some thirty-minute cards for free,” Assistant General Manager of Hangar 38, David Flury said. “And we are giving a 10% off to anyone that’s an evacuee from the storm.”

With so much to do, it is a perfect environment for families, friends, couples, or anyone to come and have a good time.

“Whatever we can do we are going to do it,” said Flury. “People can come to hang out for hours, with their family, turn the kids loose. The adults can have fun too, we have drinks and food and all that. So it’s a good place to hang out.”

Flury says this initiative has brought many people through the door, and he is glad to help however he can.

“A pretty good turnout now the word is getting out more,” said Flury. “We have had a lot of people come in and use them, and we are glad they are.”

After all that Hurricane Ida has put people through, the staff here at hangar 38 just want to give people a place they can come, relax and have a good time.

“Were open and ready to rock,” Flurry said. “We want to see you guys here, help this place grow. We are so happy to be part of the Dothan community, and we hope to see you at Hangar 38.”
