DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The Houston County Alabama Democratic Party is looking for more support from the community.

In addition to their mission to elect democrats into office, the Houston County Democratic Party has taken on a side mission of community outreach.

This outreach can include volunteering at local organizations, community clean ups, and providing election resources to anyone who may need it.

In order for them to serve the community they need volunteers and as Vice Chair of Committees, Linda Turner says they are needed more than ever.

“Involvement in the local community is more important today than it’s ever been,” Turner said. “People are hurting and we need to be part of the solution and that’s what we are looking to do. We want to let you know that we’re here and the community outreach is always nonpartisan.”
