DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) —Hundreds of runners raced Saturday morning in Dothan to raise awareness and funds for the Southeast Health Cancer Center.

The Champions of Hope 5K, 10K, and one-mile spirit walk took place on Saturday in the Circle City.

This is the 15th year of the event hosted by the Southeast Health Foundation which raises awareness and funds for the Southeast Health Cancer Center.

Events like the one on Saturday allow them to fund 3D mammography, customized reference binders for newly diagnosed patients, Cancer Navigation Services, and post-mastectomy comfort kits.

On Friday, the group held a Celebration of Light ceremony to support, remember, and encourage those in our community who have faced a cancer diagnosis.
