HOUSTON COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) — The town of Kinsey will hold its ‘spooky’ Halloween event next Friday evening.

The second annual trunk or treat will be held at the walking trail from 6 to 8 pm.

Residents can come out with their decorated trunk your car must be registered for the event and of course in their best costumes to receive candy from the Kinsey police and fire department.

Mayor Jason Reneau said they had a great turnout last year, so they are looking for a bigger and better crowd this year.

Plus, you’ll have an opportunity to treat your pockets.

“Come out let your kids walk by and get some candy and gifts and we’ll actually be giving out 100 dollars for the best trunk and trophies first second and third for the best trunk,” Reneau said.

The trail will play host to more holiday events in a couple of weeks.
