DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) – Drivers can expect more changes in the construction area on the west side of Dothan.
Beginning Sunday afternoon, traffic will be shifted to the outside lanes in both directions from Wesley Way to Choctaw Street. The change, allowing construction crews to work in the median, will continue for a few months, according to the Alabama Department of Transportation.
The median work is part of Phase II of the Ross Clark Circle expansion project.
Additional lanes will be added on Ross Clark Circle from south of Highway 84 to south of Meadowbrooke Drive. The phase also calls for more lanes on Highway 84 from Bel Aire Drive to North Englewood Avenue. Work is scheduled to be completed in June 2022.
In Phase I, lanes were added on Ross Clark Circle from the Bauman Drive area to Highway 84.
