LEVEL PLAINS, Ala. (WDHN) — Authorities have been able to handcuff the Level Plains mini-bike bandit and it was thanks to a fellow citizen.

On Tuesday, Level Plains police received a call regarding a stolen mini-bike. Officers then received a call from an individual who saw the suspect Phillip Palu being taken into custody through a citizen’s arrest.

The unnamed citizen put Palu in the back of his truck and took him to the police department.

Palu is facing two charges for theft of property and one charge of criminal mischief.

He’s being held in the Dale County Jail in Ozark.
