DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Not to be outdone by Whoville in Enterprise, the Circle City also hosted a holiday event on Saturday.
The Downtown Dothan Christmas Festival featured pictures with Santa Claus, a children’s choir, local food and craft vendors, and the Grinch making another appearance! They must’ve offered him some who hash to have him stay in the Wiregrass all day.
One local art maker said his business thrives during the holidays, all because of community-focused customers.
“Very very big day. I mean, it’s shop local, it makes sense, you know what I mean, you are giving back to families, families are giving back to the community, and communities are giving back to the economy,” Culture Shock co-owner Jermaine Potter said. “It’s a win-win, it’s a win-win. And then everyone puts a name with a face. You actually get to build a relationship.”
The next holiday event in Dothan will be a holiday decorating workshop on Sunday, Dec. 5, at 1 p.m. in Landmark Park.
