DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — April is Child Abuse Prevention month and the Southeast Alabama Child Advocacy Center is getting the whole Wiregrass to be a part of it.
City leaders, educators, law enforcement, and children alike are taking part in the blue ribbon project put out by the center to help bring awareness and to raise funds to keep the center’s services available.
Even downtown Dothan will see blue accents and banners.
“The banner says every child safe, every community aware,” Lindsey Wagner, the Child Advocacy Center Community Advocate, said. “It’s all of our jobs to be aware of what’s going on and to report any abuse that’s suspected.”
So make sure to keep an eye out next time you’re in the downtown area.
