ASHFORD, Ala. (WDHN) — An Ashford High School senior pitcher will get the chance to compete for playing time at Kentucky Christian University, as Seawright has signed to join the Knights’ pitching staff.

Tuesday, Larson Seawright signed his scholarship to join the Knights next season. Seawright says the coaches liked the way he was able to mix his pitches on the mound and how he remained calm, cool, and collected.

Kentucky Christian plays in the Appalachian Athletic Conference. Seawright will be joining a Knight’s team that currently has 25 wins on the season, which is the most they’ve had in the past five years.

“Feel like this will be a very great experience for me to grow and also grow in my faith because I mean God put me here in this place, and I am just excited to be there,” Kentucky Christian signee Larson Seawright said.

Seawright’s family adds they’re excited for Larson and can’t wait to fly up to the Bluegrass State to watch him play next season.
