ASHFORD, Ala (WDHN) — The City of Ashford is taking sealed bids for security cameras to be installed and replaced at locations all across the city.

According to the City of Ashford, the bids are for work to replace all of the current cameras and the NVR camera system (6TB hard drive for NVR) at seven sites.

There will be an additional camera added to the back side of the police department and the fire department will receive 5 new cameras.

The cameras will be replaced at these locations:

  • Senior Center- 7 cameras
  • City Hall- 5 cameras
  • Depot- 6 cameras
  • Fire Department- 5 new cameras
  • Larkin Park- 4 cameras
  • Police Department- 5 cameras
  • Recreation Department- 8 cameras (6 turret cameras and 2 IP cameras)

Sealed bids can be submitted at the Ashford City Hall, located at 525 North Broadway Street during normal operating hours. All bids submitted should cover the cost of the equipment, installation, and training.

Bidding for the camera system will end on Friday, February 17, at 5:00 p.m., and the sealed bids will be opened at the regularly scheduled council meeting on Tuesday, February 21.
