Biden’s vaccine mandate may cause disruption to the labor force

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — President Joe Biden’s latest vaccination push will affect about 80 million workers in the U.S.

U.S. Workers will have a choice between providing proof of vaccination or submit to weekly COVID testing.

While federal employees and healthcare workers at facilities that receive federal funding must show proof of vaccination.

Vice President of PR Companies, Dan Sinas says that businesses in Dothan have different responses to the new mandate, but no matter their opinion, it will disrupt the labor force.

“I think it’s the last thing small businesses or any businesses need to contend with right now is more disruption to the labor market,” Sinas said. “That’s, I think, the biggest downfall is one way or the other it’s going to create some disruption in the workplace.”

Sinas says that this mandate could also lead to a worse strain on the worker shortage.
