ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN)—Since last Thursday 18 (8-and-under) Dixie Youth baseball teams from across Alabama
have been competing in the state tournament at the Enterprise Recreation Complex.
City officials say the additional families, coaches, and fans translate into several thousand visitors to the City of Progress.
For the local economy, it means “heads in bed”, crowded restaurants, and a general economic “shot in the arm” for the City of Progress.
Parks and recreation officials say it’s also a great showcase for Enterprise, and all that it offers.
And next weekend, the “City of Progress” will “Roll out the red carpet” once again for a second state youth baseball tournament.
Twelve teams in the (12-and-under) age category will take part in the “Ozone Baseball Tournament at the city recreation complex on Highway 167 North.
