ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — After 24 years of military experience and with over a decade of law enforcement experience, family and friends of Michael G. Moore celebrated his appointment as the new Enterprise Police Chief.

“I’m very excited,” Moore told WDHN. “In this community you couldn’t ask for any better community, this is a wonderful wonderful City of Progress. Enterprise has always been good to us and I want to continue to be good with them.”

In order to foster a positive community relationship, Chief Moore is already planning events that will bring the community together.

“There’s a lot of events that I’m planning for the community but I also want to continue the support for my police officers and the community to support my police officers,” Moore said.

A listener, a problem solver, and an effective leader, Moore said these skills will help him get even closer to Enterprise residents.

Moore also told WDHN that he’s an open book and his experience will help him meet any challenge he faces head on. He credits his skills to working with various individuals during his time in the military.

Moore told WDHN he may not know everything, but he’s open to learning and knows he has a support system behind him.

“I couldn’t say that I know everything and I got this in the wraps cause I don’t, but I know I got a lot of support with my family my friends,” Moore said.
