COFFEE COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) — This week, the Coffee County Commission gave the county engineer permission to buy a used pick-up truck for around 30,000 dollars.

One does not have to look very far to see all sorts of debris along Coffee County roadways,
mainly outside of Enterprise and Elba.

Commission Chairman, Dean Smith, says the problem is even worse during the spring break period, but it’s a problem year-round. He believes its folks mainly just throw the trash from their vehicle window.

Chairman Smith asks for folks to wait to get to their homes, or a business and properly dispose of their debris. Smith says just don’t throw it on the ground.
