ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — On Thursday morning, the Enterprise Chamber of Commerce held its Peanuts and Politics forum.

It was a chance for local and state candidates to discuss their qualifications for office.

One of the most hotly contested local races is for Coffee County sheriff. Incumbent Dave Sutton is vying for his fourth, four-year term in office.

Former Coffee County reserve deputy and small business owner, Scott Byrd, is challenging Sutton.

With no Democratic candidate, the winner of the May 24 primary will be sworn in as the next sheriff in January 2023.
