COFFEE COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) — A single-vehicle crash on Tuesday afternoon has killed an Elba man.

William H. Peters, 87, was driving a 2005 Ford F-250 pickup at around 1:05 p.m. when his vehicle left the road and overturned, according to Alabama state troopers.

Peters was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene, ALEA said in a statement.

The crash happened on Alabama 125 near the mile marker 10, around eight miles north of Elba, in Coffee County.
