NEW BROCKTON, Ala. (WDHN)— On Monday, the Coffee County Commission voted to add clarity to how much individuals or groups can rent at its Farm Center in New Brockton.
With only one dissent vote by commission chairman Dean Smith, the board will charge
400 dollars per day for individuals to rent the facility. With that daily rate cut in half to 200 dollars for non-profits and church groups.
By having these rates listed in black and white, those wishing to use the farm center know exactly how much they’ll need to pay and there will no longer be any bargaining with the commission to lower the price.
Morgan says the Coffee County Farm Center is frequently used as a wedding reception venue on weekends.
