ENTERPRISE, Ala (WDHN) — In Enterprise Friday morning, students passed the torch for the inaugural Wildcat Olympics.

Approximately 115 kindergarten-through-12th grade Special needs students competed in a host of athletic events including the softball throw, and various meter dash races.

The students competed in their respective grade brackets.

Enterprise high track coach and football linebacker assistant coach says watching the enthusiasm of the participants is very rewarding.

We looked at it as something to do district wide to recognize our students and give back, we’re super excited, the best meet of the year. and the kids are excited, hugely excited

Coach Fortney says despite the football team losing its spring jamboree game in Saraland late, last night, many of the players assisted the athletes in today’s Wildcat Olympics.
