ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — Although the Christian Mission Center in Enterprise is not a cooling station, the non-profit is still providing assistance to those without shelter from the elements.
Those who seek a meal at the facility are also provided extra bottled water in order to stay hydrated. Depending on the circumstances, the Christian Mission can provide a voucher for a motel room during the extreme heat warning for those without air conditioning
“Whether they just need to sit a minute, or they need some water. They need food or shelter, we’re able to assist these needs like we always do. We do take into account the weather and what they’re facing as far as temperatures go,” says Christian Mission Center Counselor Lisa Eller.
The Christian Mission Center in Enterprise has proven to help people in need fight the weather elements during extreme cold and extreme heat since being founded 40 years ago.
