ENTERPRISE, Ala (WDHN) — Starting in the fall, soccer enthusiasts will have the opportunity to play through the College’s Soccer Club, now led by a new part-time coach.
In May, Cade Stinnett joined the Enterprise State Community College family as the part-time soccer coach.
According to ESCC, Stinnett’s love of soccer began at a young age, playing travel soccer year-round throughout his high school years. He started his coaching career as the volunteer assistant coach at Jacksonville High School while completing the physical education program at Jacksonville State University.
Stinnett would go on to become the head coach at Jacksonville High School.
After the Covid-19 pandemic, Stinnett coached the Enterprise High School (EHS) Boys JV Soccer Coach for two years before joining the ESCC staff.
My hopes for the program this year is to be able to field a team and get this program off the ground playing competitive quality soccer. With ESCC being a two-year institution, my hope for each player is to develop their skills at the collegiate level and get them to transfer to a four-year university to continue their athletic careers.

The club will be holding tryouts on Wednesday, May 31, from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Enterprise High School soccer practice field. The club is currently open to all incoming freshmen or rising sophomores with any skill level.
The college says the goal is to eventually transition the club to an additional team under the ESCC athletic banner.
For questions about the club or tryouts, you can contact Coach Stinnett at jstinnett@escc.edu.
