NEW BROCKTON, Ala (WDHN) — A small Coffee County town finally has a mayor after nearly a year of searching.
According to New Brockton Police Chief Dale Grimes, the city council elected Charles Schieffer on a 3-2 vote Monday night.
The town has been looking for someone to fill this role since December 2022 after its last full-time mayor, Kathy Holley, resigned.
