HOUSTON COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN)  — Anyone entering Houston County buildings will be required to wear a mask beginning Monday, August 9, according to Houston County officials.

The requirement applies to all employees and anyone entering a county building, according to Houston County Commission Chair Mark Culver.

While the commission had said that a mask mandate would not be needed at Thursday’s commission meeting, Culver said after discussion with other county leaders, a decision was made to bring back the mask requirement.

Everyone must also have a temperature check before proceeding.
