OZARK, Ala. (WDHN) — Downtown Ozark was flooded with people enjoying the 16th annual Crawdad Festival Saturday afternoon.
At the festival, of course, many stuffed their stomachs with crawfish and shrimp boils but it was also a time to have some fun — like dancing to music, visiting arts and craft vendors, and live musical performances.
Ozzie Maianeto said it was the biggest turnout they have ever had — this is huge for the city and small businesses.
“Small businesses benefit from having this many people around I think they make a good bit of money out here even the hotels, restaurants, all the businesses in the city benefit from this so everybody wins,” Maianeto said.
Maianeto says he can’t wait to do it bigger and better next year.
