OZARK, Ala. (WDHN) — Patients who recently needed medical care from Ozark Fire and Rescue may have had their data breached.

EMS Management and Consultants (EMS|MC), the billing service provider for Ozark Fire and Rescue, says an unknown actor was able to access a server on May 30 and take sensitive patient information.

EMS|MC is mailing letters to people who may have been impacted — if they have a valid mailing address.

Sensitive information, such as a patient’s name, social security number, and date of birth, may have been exposed in the security breach.

EMS|MC says it is unaware of any misuse of information.
