OZARK, Ala (WDHN) — President Joe Biden has promised COVID-19 vaccines for every adult American by May this year.

Dale Medical Center began vaccinating citizens that fit the criteria in late December.

Since then, they have administered over 6,000 vaccines.

The CEO of Dale Medical Center, Vernon Johnson says they are having trouble getting vaccines.

“I think May would be a very wonderful goal to have,” Johnson said. “The only obstacle I see right now is the availability of vaccines, and right now, we haven’t seen that come to be.”

Johnson wants to encourage everyone who is eligible to get vaccinated.
