LEVEL PLAINS, Ala. (WDHN) — A Dale County resident is safe following a serious trailer fire Sunday.
Around 6:30 a.m. Sunday, an ambulance crew with the Daleville Department of Public Safety was returning to the station from enterprise medical center. As they traveled through level plains, they noticed a plume of smoke coming from County Road 109.
When they arrived, the crew discovered a trailer was in flames.
As crew members moved closer to the fire, they could hear a person calling for help from inside.
Two EMTs rushed in to save the man and removed the resident from the home.
The victim was later flown to UAB and is said to be stable.
