EARLY COUNTY, Ga. (WDHN) — Tropical Storm Claudette sparked several rotating thunderstorms across the Wiregrass, particularly in Early County, Ga.
Just before noon Saturday, the National Weather Service issued tornado warnings along the Chattahoochee River. Meteorologists tracked several rotating storms. One of those moved into western Early County where at least one tornado appears to have touched down.
The National Weather Service reported damage to a house near White Chandler Road. WDHN News anchor Michael Rinker was first on the scene shortly after the storms moved through. He witnessed trees down and debris in rural parts of the county.
A barn pump was also damaged by what could have been a brief tornado along Sawyer Road. Other tree damage was seen along Grimsley Mill Road.
No injuries have been reported.
