Deer collides with school bus in Jackson County

JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WDHN) — A Jackson County School bus collided with a deer Wednesday morning.

At 7:00 a.m., the bus headed south on State Road 286 near Interstate 10 when a deer jumped into the road. The bus hit the deer, but the driver managed to stop on the southbound shoulder.

There were 13 children on board with the bus monitor and driver. No one was injured, and the bus was driven away from the scene.
