DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Before the rain came on Saturday evening across the Wiregrass, dogs got a chance to cool off at Water World in Dothan during the third annual Water World Doggie Dip.
Water World turned off its wave pull so dogs could get in the water and the kid’s cove was open for dogs that were a little shy.
The event started Saturday morning at 9 a.m. and it lasted until 12 p.m.
Each dog also received a Water World-branded tennis ball upon entry, while supplies lasted.
The event raised $6,360 for three different organizations which include: Angel Paws, The Dothan Animal Shelter, and the Wiregrass Spay and Neuter Alliance.
Water World ended its summer season earlier this month, after what they are calling another productive season at Dothan’s most exciting beach.
