DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The city has approved a way to help traffic flow through Denton Road to Westgate Parkway.
This has been an ongoing project for several years. Sixty-six percent of the improvements for Denton Road will be funded by the city, and the state will fund 34 percent.
This solution will be a five-lane project that will tie into Westgate Parkway and Ross Clark Circle.
“We’ve already improved the bridge, and so now, we are just adding the lanes to connect the two together.”
The city’s plan is to get this project out for bid in September or October. Construction is expected to start late this or next year.
