Dothan City Schools is seeking help from the community

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Dothan City Schools are seeking input from parents, students, and community members for a new strategic plan.

The district’s current plan expired in 2020, and due to the pandemic, the strategic planning process was put on hold until this year.

So now, forums are scheduled for Wednesday, September 15, Monday, September 27, and Wednesday, October 6 at the Dothan Civic Center.

Each forum will begin at 5 p.m. DCS is looking for a wide variety of input.

“At the end of the day, our school system impacts the economics of our area,” Public Information Officer for Dothan City Schools, Meagan Dorsey said. “So anyone that has a hand in anything that is going on in the city of Dothan, we need your input, even if you’re in Houston County we want your input.”
