DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Although Dothan High School hasn’t held its graduation ceremony yet, one senior has already graduated.

Last Thursday, senior Kolby Reese walked across his living room floor and shook the hands of Principal Bill Singleton and Superintendent Dr. Dennis Coe.

The ceremony took place in the living room of the Reese home to allow Kolby’s mother, Tammy Reese, to see her son graduate.

Mrs. Reese is battling multiple myeloma. School officials hope she’ll be able to see Kolby graduate on June 5.

Members of the Dothan High School faculty and staff also came along to cheer on the graduate.
