DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Dothan’s Reithoffer Shows Spring Fling at the Peanut Festival Fairgrounds is bringing families and friends out to enjoy the cool spring evenings.
People are excited to win prizes, eat fair foods and make memories with loved ones and at least one wiregrass family is using this fair for just that.
“Came out for a family event to have fun. I’m in the military and I’m in college so we really don’t have much time to be together so the time we do get we want to spend it making laughs and enjoying ourselves,” Keyun Hill
Plenty of high school students was in attendance as well, with each of them seemingly having their own favorite part.
“My favorite part is probably the stinger, to be honest,” fairgoer Ashton Trammell said.
“The fireball,” Lily Lawson said.
“Just the environment and being around a lot of people,” Jillian Hogan said.
“We basically came here to ride the stinger a lot, we came for the Himalaya and we came here for food,” Colby Goldston said.
But one fair-goer wanted to warn about mixing the fair food with the Himalaya.
“I threw up on the Himalaya,” Lawson said.
Even little kids have their favorite parts.
“His favorite part has got to be the train and the slide; he loves the slide. And being with his dad because he doesn’t get to that much,” said Keyun.
