DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN)— A Dothan man has been arrested and faces multiple drug charges, including chemical endangerment after a child was found on the scene, according to Dothan Police Department.

Willese Dashon Jackson, 32, of Dothan, was arrested on October 18 and charged with:

  • Drug Trafficking
  • Chemical Endangerment
  • Possession of Marijuana in the second degree
  • Attempting to elude
  • Drug Paraphernalia- first offense

According to Dothan Police Department, the DPD Vice and Narcotics Unit ran a short investigation into Jackson and him selling drugs from his home.

When the units executed a warrant for Jackson and went to his house, he attempted to flee with drugs but was caught before leaving out the back door of his home.

Police say synthetic THC was found on the scene in an amount that justified a drug trafficking charge. The child found on the scene was in good health and was not treated for medical issues. The age of the child has not been released

In the state of Alabama, the amount of cannabis must exceed 2.2 pounds to qualify as a drug trafficking charge.

According to DPD arrest reports, Jackson was released on the same day.
