DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN)— More than a year after being accused of sexually assaulting a minor, a Dothan man has pleaded guilty to numerous sexual crimes.
Quishawn Jerry Coleman, 24, pleaded guilty to a total of 13 counts of sexual crimes:
- Two counts of sodomy in the second degree
- Two counts of rape in the second degree
- One count of electronic solicitation of a child
- Eight counts of transmitting obscene material to a child
Coleman was accused of sexually assaulting a minor in a hotel on the east side of Dothan in May of 2021.
In 2021, Dothan Police Department told WDHN that Coleman was originally arrested by a separate agency, but was intercepted by the DPD investigations division.
Coleman’s sentence hearing is set for December 9, 2022, at 9:00 a.m.
