UPDATE: Police identify victim in fatal Dothan shooting

UPDATE (WDHN) – Dothan Police have identified the victim in Friday night’s fatal shooting on Monroe Street.

Imari Tyquan Glanton, 22, was pronounced dead on the scene, according to a news release Saturday morning. Police said Glanton was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds when officers arrived to the 700 block of Monroe Street.

No arrests have been made, and DPD has launched a murder investigation.

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) – A person died in a shooting in northeast Dothan Friday night.

Numerous Dothan Police units were dispatched to the 700 block of Monroe Street around 10:45 p.m. Dothan Fire Medics also responded to the scene. The original alert from dispatch indicated the victim was a 22-year-old male.

Dothan Police confirmed to WDHN News the shooting was fatal.  Members of the Dothan Criminal Investigation were sent to the scene.

No other information is available at this time regarding the circumstances surrounding the shooting, and police have not confirmed if any arrests have been made.
